I will be discussing Normal-type Pokemon moves. The entire list can be
found at http://www.serebii.net/attackdex-bw/normal.shtml. This provides
a complete list with PP, Base Power, Accuracy, and a complete description. When you click on the move, you can see more details, like which Pokemon can learn it.
If I remember correctly, we’re on G, H, and J now.
There’s no moves starting with I, what a shame (Giga Impact is the physical equivalent of Hyper Beam: its power is 150, but the user has to rest on the next turn.
Glare paralyzes the opponent. This can be useful for getting slower Pokemon in your party to move first.
Growl lowers the opponent’s Attack. Charm is a much better alternative for this move (because it lowers two levels).
Growth will raise Attack and Special Attack one level, so depending on tactics, this could be helpful.
Guillotine is an OHKO (one-hit KO) move, but there is only a 30% chance of it happening. If you’ve used Odor Sleuth/Lock On or anyother similar move, you can definitely land this move next.
Harden will increase Defense by one level, and is usually the topic of some Pokemon-related jokes I’ve heard. It’s usually used by cocoon Pokemon, like Metapod or Kakuna.
Head Charge is like Double-edge. It does major damage, but the user will take damage from recoil. I wouldn’t mind keeping this move, since its power is very high.
Headbutt has a power of 70, plus it has a chance of making the target flinch, so they can’t move. This is similar to Bite, so don’t hesitatetoo much to keep this move handy.
Heal Bell will remove all the status problems of the Pokemon you have; this will save a few turns if the user is just stalling and you intend to heal all your damaged Pokemon.
Helping Hand will boost the other Pokemon (which is your ally)’s attacks. Remember, this will only work in Double/Triple Battles; it is advisable to replace this if you only Single Battle (which is one player).
Hidden Power is a mysterious move used mainly by Unown; its type will vary based on the Pokemon that is using it. There is a certain person in Black/White Version that will tell you the type Hidden Power will be if you show them your Pokemon.
Horn Attack is a basic attack which will just do damage. It’s a good starting move, but if there’s something stronger, use that instead.
Horn Drill is another OHKO move; follow the suggestion I wrote earlier with Guillotine.
Howl raises Attack by one level.
Hyper Beam is a special move, compared to Giga Impact being physical. This will also result in your Pokémon having to rest the next turn. Be sure you’re going to KO the target with this move; if it doesn’t, your Pokemon will be vulnerable to two attacks if Hyper Beam hits first.
Hyper Fang is a stronger version of Headbutt, but only 90 percent accurate. Don’t confuse this with Super Fang, which takes out half of the target’s current HP.
Hyper Voice is a strong special move. Its power is 90; plus, you can hear your Pokemon’s cry when they use the move (this is fun if you have a Chatot; then you can edit its cry).
Covering the only J move, Judgment is an attack whose type varies on what plate your Arceus is holding. It has 100 power, which is unaffected by the type it will be.
