Pokemon Episode summary : Pokemon Scent-Sation

By TokoyamiTheDark

Ash, Misty and Brock finally arrives at Celadon City, for Ash’s fourth badge, the Rainbow badge. Then they enter a perfume shop, where Brock and Misty both tries different perfumes. Ash counters that what they are doing is a complete waste of time and money, which shocks the kimono girls in the shop. Then, the shop’s owner, a Geisha girl with make-up, kicks Ash out of the shop for what he said about the perfume. Misty and Brock follows him, as Ash decides to go to the Gym to get his fourth Badge, the Rainbow badge. As he enters the Gym, he is stamped with a big, red ‘X’ stamp by mad girls who witnessed what happened at the perfume shop, for as the perfume is made in the Gym itself! Usually, only girls may enter, but on some conditions, boys can also enter. Brock and Misty are welcomed inside the Gym. Meanwhile, Team Rocket decides to enter the Gym to steal all of the perfume, but gets kicked out of the gym at the next moment. Ash, peeking at he gym’s windows, sees the Gym Leader, but is astonished as he recognizes her : she’s the Geisha girl that owns the perfume shop! Sitting with a Gloom telling stories to people including Brock and Misty, Ash then crosses paths with Team Rocket, who gets an excellent idea to help Ash sneaking into the Gym ; disguising him as a girl! As for Jessie and James, they disguise themselves as typical adults and put their plans on work ; they will pretend to be the parents of Ash (nicknamed Ashley) wanting her to be registered in the Gym. So, they enter the Gym, and everything is OK. Misty, Brock, and Pikachu still recognizes Ash despite his disguise, and looks in a funny way at him.In front of Erika, Ash reveals his disguise and asks her for a Pokemon Battle. She gladly accepts, and, as a Grass-type Gym Leader, she mainly uses Pokemon like Tangela, Weepinbell and, of course, her Gloom. With Erika being distracted by the match, Team Rocket manages to find all of the perfumes stored in a safe. However, perfumes are very sensitive to combustibles, and the whole gym soon gets blazed in an intense fire! Team Rocket has fled with the ‘secret’ perfume, while Brock’s and Misty’s Pokemon tries to extinguish the fire. Erika suddenly remembers that she forgot her Gloom inside the Gym! Ash runs inside, as hasty as always, and, after a while, finds Gloom. However, it releases an horrid stench, and, after many attempts at grabbing it, Gloom let itself being grabbed by Ash, who exit the Gym safe and sound ; Ash came out only with a few burn scars. As for Gloom, it is doing very well, and has no major wounds caused by the fire. To commemorate the courage of Ash for saving Gloom’s life , Erika gives him the Rainbow Badge, but then, Ash suddenly remembers Team Rocket’s plans to steal all the perfume. Erika tells him to not worry, as what they stole was not the perfume at all, but the extremely stinky nectar of Gloom, the main ingredient for perfumes. OOPS! Erika had the perfume with her since all of this, and the scene the skips to Team Rocket, thinking they stole the real deal. But as they open the bottle, an intense stench comes out, enough harsh to make Team Rocket cry. That was Gloom’s honey and not perfume at all. Looks like Team Rocket’s blasting off again…while purely stinking!

My Speculation of the Unova Starters

By Logan,

Lately, I’ve been hearing people talk about the Unova starter pokémon. I’m sure most of you pokémon fans like me will probably disagree with some of the things I say about these three. For example, I think Snivy is over-designed.

Let’s start with Snivy. Like I said before, I think the way that he is designed is a little much. I mean think back to Chikorita and Bulbasaur. They were nothing but green pokémon with very little but cool details like Bulbasaur’s seed and Chikorita’s leaf. With Snivy, it’s got a leaf tail, weird yellow collar things, a yellow swirls-like detail around both eyes, etc. Don’t get mad yet though. I still agree that Snivy is cool. Especially the way he’s so calm and cool. That’s what I love about his personality. Another thing I like is how even though he’s based off of a snake, he has feet, and they made it work. It had to be hard to make a snake design and have feet, but they made it work.

Conclusion: An over-designed, but cool snake.

Number two, Tepig. Prepare to hate me when I say that Tepig is my least favorite of the three. To start, I just don’t like how he’s a pig. I’m not saying he’s ugly but, I’m just not very fond of pig-like Pokémon, like Spoink. Although, Grumpig is still on my top 20 favorite pokemon list. Another detail I don’t like is how he looks like he’s wearing a black diaper. It make’s him look wierd and like a baby. There are some cool things that I like though. His ears. I have absolutely no explanation why. They just seem cool. I also think his tail is epic. Think about it, a curly tail with a shiny red bulb at the end, epic right?! Just like Snivy, I like Tepig’s personality. He’s fun-loving, and I have also noticed how his battle animation in the games has his tail wagging sometimes. So if you like this starter, then you can hate my comment about him.

Conclusion: A cool eared, epic tailed, diaper wearing pig.

That just leaves one more, and that’s Oshawott. To be honest, I picked this little guy as my starter in Pokémon Black. Most people say that Oshawott is ugly, but I think he’s cute. Yes, I am a guy who thinks Pokémon can be cute. Sea otters are awesome so I was excited to have a Pokémon based off of one. My favorite part of all, the shell on his stomach. I think it’s called a scalchop if I remember from the anime. I think it’s cool how he can take it off and deflect attacks with it. Another thing, this dude is also partly based off a ninja somehow (mostly in his second evolution). Oshawott kind of reminds me of a snowman, but it works with how cute he is. Personality wise, he’s a confident, brave, and curios one. That’s awesome in my point of view.

Conclusion: A cute, brave, ninja sea otter.I hope you fans post comment of how you see these starters.

P.S. Oshawott has helped me beat Pokémon Black in a little less than a week!

P.S.S. I will probably do evaluations on the evolution too!

A Venipede Stampede! Summary And Review

By JC

Hey guys! I’ll be summarizing and reviewing the 22nd episode—A Venipede Stampede—of Pokemon Black and White. The episode starts off with Team Rocket, Pierce, and Dr. Zager inside their blimp examining the meteonite. It glows yellow as it gives off strong pulses of electricity. The introduction song plays and our heroes have finally arrived at Castelia City. Iris and Cilan take in the scenery and recommend that they go to Castelia Cone for some sweets. Ash, with a determined look on his face, intervenes to head to the Castelia Gym first. They take walk through the city and bump into Burgh who is looking worriedly at a tree. He says that the bug Pokemon are behaving strangely and that he must attend to them before he can battle. They head over to Castelia Cone, but are disappointed to see that it is closed. Pikachu notices a weird-looking manhole and the group decides to go down it.

They go farther down the sewers when they spot a Venipede trapped inside a pipe. Ash finds it and wants to pull it out, but Burgh warns that he may get poisoned due to its ability, Poison Point. All of a sudden, he pulls it out and the startled Venipede uses Screech in fear. He tries to calm it down and eventually earns its trust, but is poisoned in the process. Cilan whips up an antidote and cures him as well as using a potion on their new bug friend. Iris also helps out by giving it a delicious Oran Berry. Moments later, they are startled to find a huge herd of Venipede crawling through the sewers. The herd angrily attacks them and they are forced to run. They resurface, only to find that the Venipede colony is attacking the entire city. Officer Joy arrives on the scene and tells our heroes to get out of the city and that Professor Juniper is looking into the disaster. An explosion occurs in the distance at the Pokemon Center and they decide to go there. Several trainers defend the Pokemon Center, including Trip, who sends out Lampent. It along with Pignite, Darmanitan, and Pansear proceed to use Flamethrower on the massive colony. Ash intercedes and gets in an argument with Trip. The mayor arrives and allows Ash, Iris, and Cilan to help Burgh in his plan to gather all the Venipede in Central Plaza.

The group goes to the city and Burgh attempts to reason with the leader, but Trip follows them and tries to knock it out. Ash takes a hit for the leader which prompts the injured one to vouch for him. The Audino he requested for arrives with Nurse Joy and proceeds to heal the colony. Burgh then takes out his flute and plays a melody that attracts the colony to follow him. The others are assigned to assist with any stragglers. For this task, Ash sends out Pidove, Axew helps, and so does Pansage. Even Trip helps out and in doing so, possibly motivated Pidove to evolve.

Professor Juniper and her team locate an unknown energy source centering at the Desert Resort. Ominous music plays as the scene switches to Giovanni in a jet. The day turns to night and everyone successfully gets the Venipede colony into the Central Plaza. The mayor and the townspeople express their thanks. Juniper arrives via plane and explains her findings to the others. She heads out to the Desert Resort to investigate. The end.

Battling For The Love Of Bug-Types! Summary And Review

By JC

Hey guys! Today I’ll be summarizing and reviewing the 23rd episode of Pokemon Black and White. Right away, our heroes walk into the Castelia Gym, a spacious building that resembles a greenhouse garden. Burgh greets them and introduces them to the gym’s unique environment—filled with all kinds of trees and plants straight from Pinwheel Forest. The stadium rises from the ground and the battle begins right away.

Burgh sends out his first Pokemon—Dwebble. Ash counters with Tepig. Tepig leads with Tackle, but Dwebble dodges it and uses Dig. It follows up with a super-fast X-Scissor, which prompts Burgh to explain that it carries a lighter rock on its back. An Ember is blocked by Protect, but Tepig lands a direct hit with another Tackle. It uses Flame Charge next, but is thwarted by Protect, and Dwebble knocks out Tepig with Rock Wrecker. Cilan and Iris discuss strategies while Ash chooses a new Pokemon.

He decides to make it a bug-on-bug match and sends out Sewaddle. It leads with Razor Leaf and the crustacean uses Protect. Sewaddle dodges the incoming X-Scissor with a String Shot and uses Bug Bite, but cannot penetrate Protect. It is able to get Dwebble out of its shell and unleashes a flurry of String Shots, Tackles, and Razor Leaves for the equalizer.

Burgh sends out his Whirlipede, which makes Ash use his Pokedex. Cilan and Iris are worried for their friend as they discuss more strategy. Whirlipede seems to be unaffected by String Shot and uses Steamroller to land a direct hit. Another Steamroller rolls over Sewaddle as it uses Razor Leaf in vain. Iron defense negates the incoming Bug Bite. Burgh continues to dish out punishment with Steamrollers and orders up a Solarbeam for the knockout. Just when Sewaddle looks like it’s done for, it evolves into Swadloon! String Shot still has no effect, but a new move, Energy Ball, catches Whirlipede off-guard. Ash orders a Tackle that clinches the knockout.

Dancing With The Ducklett Trio! Summary And Review!

By JC

Hey guys! Today I’ll be summarizing and reviewing the 20th episode of the Pokemon Black and White series. This episode starts out with some intense battling music, but it loses some of its flare when the two battlers turn out to be Axew and Scraggy. They have battled against each other in the past, and today’s match is nothing new. The two exchange Scratches and Head-butts. Iris commands Axew to use Dragon Rage, and everyone else gets nervous, especially Cilan who covers the food.

After the dust clears, everyone calms down and relaxes. Oshawott spontaneously jumps out of his Pokeball, and Ash begins to think that it is a good idea for all of his Pokemon to come and enjoy the nice weather. He is about to release the rest of his companions, when the ground underneath him disappears and he falls into a tunnel. Ash and Pikachu emerge from the end of the tunnel, which we found out to be built by the same Sandile with sunglasses from the resort in a previous episode (which I highly recommend). Sandile went through all that just to challenge Pikachu to a match. Back at the camp, Iris and Cilan are getting ready to go out and find Ash. Cilan sends out Pansage to start digging, and Iris is determined to help by sending out her Excadrill. To her dismay, it is curled up and refuses to budge. She recalls it, when a Ducklett appears and steals Cilan’s silver platter. It uses Scald on Oshawott and Iris and then flies away. Iris, Scraggy, Axew, and Oshawott follow in pursuit. Cilan decides to go down the tunnel.

Back to the match, Pikachu uses a Thundershock, but it doesn’t affect Sandile, a ground-type Pokemon. The two are battling, when all of a sudden, a different Ducklett steps right in between them. It seems friendly at first, but it starts teasing Sandile, and steals his sunglasses then flies away. The three go after it into the forest. We are treated to a group of Woobat, right before another Ducklett swoops down and snatches Ash’s trademark cap. The three are even more determined to get their cap and sunglasses back. Just when he’s about to seize the thief, another one pops out and attacks Ash. In front of him are three Ducklett, one wearing his cap, one wearing the sunglasses, and one wearing the platter.

Ash, Pikachu, and Sandile team up and try their best to retrieve the items from the Ducklett trio. Again, they beat our heroes up and fly away. Meanwhile, the others find the place where Pikachu battled Sandile. They figure that they aren’t far away and continue the search. Ash and the two Pokemon track down the trio of thieves and confront them. Pikachu is unable to use his electric attacks, so Sandile steps up and decides to take on all three of them at once. He fights valiantly, but they are too much. Pikachu gets angry and unleashes a new move—Electro ball. It is at this moment that the others rendezvous with Ash. However, the Ducklett Trio are not finished and they return for another confrontation. With his friends and a newly energized Pikachu, Ash and Sandile are able to finally defeat them.

Everyone is happy to get his belonging back, and they all go to the nearest Pokemon Center. After everyone is healed, the battle resumes. They go back and forth exchanging blows. Just when Pikachu looks like he’s finished, Sandile evolves into Krokorok. However, Pikachu uses Electro Ball to deflect Krokorok’s Stone Edge and he goes blasting off into the sky. The episode comes to a close as our heroes walk off into the sunset.

First and foremost, this episode doesn’t seem critical to the main storyline, but it is very important for those who have been following the sunglass-wearing crocodile side-story. It was a nice surprise to see him again, and from the very beginning you’ll feel like Ash is going to catch him. I did not expect to see him because of the title of the episode. My first impression of Ducklett was that he was cute, playful, and had an interesting voice-actor, but I quickly rooted against him, especially after the trio’s bully tactics. The morals of this episode include that stealing is wrong, bullying is wrong, and that even cool dudes like Sandile can show fear sometimes as long as you stand up for yourself and others.

Cilan and Iris call the match a tie, but how can that be when Krokorok was blasted off into the sky? Anyways, I was slightly disappointed to see him go, but I’m looking forward to his reappearance. Anyone else think that he sounds like a rock guitarist? The bottom line is that this is one episode you won’t regret watching.

A Connoisseur’s Revenge! Summary And Review

By JC

Hey guys! I will be summarizing and reviewing the 19th episode of Pokemon Black and White. Last episode, we met Burgh, the gym leader of Castelia City, in Pinwheel Forest. Ash, Cilan, and Iris come out of the forest and arrive at a newly made Pokemart. They wander around, notice the store’s marked up prices, and are in awe of the wide selection. After browsing for a while, they see a Pokemon Connoisseuse evaluating trainers and their Pokemon in a tent. We find out that there are 4 classes in increasing order of prestige—C, B, A, S—and that Cilan is a Class A connoisseur. He insists that Ash go get an evaluation.

Ash goes to the back of the long line, when a voice from a nearby tent tells him that he doesn’t need to wait and that he can just be evaluated by her. The voice belongs to Burgundy, a girl that looks to be around Ash’s age, who is excited to begin. She shares her opinions, but her rude remarks are met with disdain. She receives a String Shot from Sewaddle, gets Vine Whipped by Snivy, an Ember from Tepig, a Water Gun from Oshawott, a Head-butt from Scraggy, and finally a Thundershock from Pikachu. Ash becomes fed up and completely disregards Burgundy’s words. Cilan and Iris find them and Burgundy freaks out upon seeing him. He exposes her to be a Class C connoisseuse. It turns out she and Cilan have a history. She challenged him back in Striaton City, but lost and recalls that he said terrible things to her, which he claims to be false. Fueled by revenge, she challenges him again to prove herself as a connoisseuse.

Before they battled, they placed a wager. If Burgundy won, Ash would have to replace all his Pokemon—which was the evaluation she gave to him when he told her that he wanted to become a Pokemon Master. If Cilan won, Ash doesn’t have to replace his party and she must accept that his evaluation is right. The two combatants agree without Ash’s consent. Burgundy sends out her Dewott and Cilan sends out his Dwebble. She is cocky and leads with Water Gun. Dwebble uses Protect and uses it again against Dewott’s next attack, Fury Cutter. Dewott uses Water Pulse and it seems to have hit Dwebble directly, but Cilan reveals that it knows Sturdy, which allows it to withstand the Water Pulse. Dwebble finally attacks with X-Scissor and knockouts Dewott. Burgundy recalls it back and sends out her last battler, Sawsbuck. Dwebble is switched out with Pansage. Pansage is too fast for Sawsbuck and wins the match relatively easily after employing Dig and using Solarbeam for the knockout.

Ash is relieved, but Burgundy is even more disheartened and angry after the loss. The sun sets as the episode comes to a close. Our three heroes say their farewells to Burgundy. Cilan offers some encouragement to her, for which she looks thankful, but quickly goes back to her defensive, angry demeanor, and vows revenge against him in a comedic, friendly-rivalry sort of way.

I felt as though they would have arrived at Castelia City in this episode, but I was wrong. I don’t remember there being a character named Burgundy in the video games, but I suppose it was nice to have her to provide Cilan with some backstory. Plus, you can never have enough female characters, which is why I liked that the S Class connoisseuse in this episode was a woman. Burgundy was very harsh; the only nice thing she said was that Pikachu was a rare Pokemon, which she later claims is not always a good thing. I have to give her props for being able to ascertain that Sewaddle’s ability was Swarm. Now whether or not it’s better for it to have Swarm or Chlorophyll is up for debate.

Iris took a backseat in this episode, and so did Ash in a way. We get to see some cute scenes of him and his Pokemon, but the episode focused on the newcomer Burgundy and Cilan. We get to see Sawsbuck for the first time and get to see Dwebble battle (I think for the first time since he was caught). We see nothing of Team Rocket, in case you were wondering. This episode is about teaching a young upstart a lesson, but also doing it in a way that is encouraging and gentle. If you are looking for laid-back fun, watch this. If not, don’t worry, you won’t miss anything critical to the main story.

Sewaddle And Burgh In Pinwheel Forest! Summary And Review

By JC

Hey guys! Today I’ll be summarizing and reviewing the 18th episode of Pokemon Black and White. Our heroes begin at the edge of Pinwheel Forest—a large forest that is notorious for people getting lost inside. It is the only obstacle keeping them from Castelia City and the next gym badge. They enter and are promptly ambushed by a Sewaddle. It knocks Ash down and unleashes a surprise attack on Pikachu. Ash tries to catch it, but it uses its web to avoid the Pokeball and retreat. They try to run after it, but they cannot and become lost.

Iris plans on getting them back on the right path, but is made fun of when she leads them to a dead end. They decide to get to higher ground and spot a very big and tall tree. Upon their arrival, Iris and Ash get excited and ascend the tree. Near the top, they spot a weird looking object. To their surprise, a man jumps out! He introduces himself as Burgh and goes on about his pure heart. Cilan recognizes him as the famous Bug-type trainer. The party finds out that Burgh is actually the gym leader of Castelia City and they join his desire to live in the forest. Sewaddle strikes once again but becomes docile when it sees Burgh.

They all decide to take a rest while Cilan prepares a delicious meal. Burgh explains how Sewaddle greet one another. He, Pikachu, Iris, and Axew all take turns saying hello, but Sewaddle headbutts Ash instead. A prospective trainer must first familiarize himself with these bug-type Pokemon in order to successfully catch them. They learn to “live in the forest” by following Sewaddle and doing what it does. They watch it roam the forests and take a nap with it in the prairie. It takes a stop near a bush of leaves and gets attacked by two Woobats. Just when it looks like it’s going to get a thrashing, Ash takes the hit, which allows it and Pikachu to fend off the hostile Woobats.

Scraggy—Hatched To Be Wild. Summary And Review!

By JC

Hey guys! Today I’ll be summarizing and reviewing the 17th episode of Pokemon Black and White. The show begins with our heroes taking a break somewhere along the road to Castelia City. Ash’s egg starts to glow, indicating that it’s about to hatch. They gather around in anticipation around the glowing egg, but are startled when Axew accidently trips and pushes it down a hill. They chase after it and Pikachu ends up using Quick Attack to catch the egg before it collides into a boulder. Almost immediately, the egg hatches and reveals a Scraggy and Ash uses his Pokedex right away.

Scraggy seems happy to see Ash, but greets Pikachu with a Leer and a Headbutt. Ash decides to let his new spunky Pokemon have a battle. Pikachu goes easy on it, but it is obvious that Scraggy is outmatched. Afterwards, Ash sends out Pidove, Tepig, Oshawott, and Snivy to all meet and play with the newly-born. The sun starts setting and everyone gathers around to eat dinner. Meanwhile, Team Rocket receives instructions from Pierce and comment that they are now on “Stage 2” of their operations.

The scene turns back to our heroes and it is night time. Everyone is sleeping except for Axew who notices Scraggy is missing and alerts Iris. Ash and Cilan wake up and they all start looking around in the forest. Axew tracks down Scraggy’s footprints and they find it head-butting a tree. A disgruntled Galvantula pops out and unleashes a flurry of electric and bug type moves. Pikachu is able to scare the Galvantula away, but not before Scraggy suffers much damage. Iris and Axew look in the forest for herbs, and fix up a healing salve for the injured Pokemon.

The next scene involves Team Rocket delivering the meteorite to Dr. Zager who promptly runs some tests. The meteorite subsequently radiates violet leaving James, Jessie, and Pierce in awe. The following morning, Scraggy wakes up and is back to normal, but when everyone is ready to eat breakfast, it goes missing again. This time, Ash sends out all his other Pokemon to help in the search. They end up tracking him to the same tree, but this time it is surrounded by multiple Galvantula. Pidove, Tepig, Pikachu, Oshawott, and Snivy all engage in battle and rescue their friend. Afterwards, they finally eat, but Axew and Scraggy bump heads. Cilan says that the two would make perfect training partners, so Ash and Iris decide to battle. The two only know two moves apiece and so they mainly exchange Scratches and Headbutts. They battle ends up in a drawn when Dragon Rage hurts both Pokemon. Our heroes continue on their journey to the next city.

Pokemon Episode summary : The Ghost Of Maiden Peak Part 2

By TokoyamiTheDark

A chilly wind is blowing, and, in an unexpected moment, the ghost of the woman then appears in front of Brock, saying she was waiting for him! Brock then gets happy to see her again, and chooses to follow her. Meanwhile, Team Rocket are sleeping in their sleeping bags. The portable clock rings, and Meowth tells Jessie and James that it’s time to steal the painting, as it is midnight. However, the ghost of the maiden send a hypnotic wind, putting back Meowth and Jessie to sleep, but approaches James, and tells him that she waited so long for him, too.

When the sun rises, Brock is nowhere to be found. Ash then crosses paths with Jessie, who starts doing their dumb motto alone, since James is gone, too! Suddently, Brock and James appear, floating and babbling like morons. Pikachu thundershocks the two men, but in vain. They then think they maybe did ‘who knows what’ with the ghost of the Maiden, but the old hag tells the gang that they got possessed by the ghost of the girl. Each year, the spirit of the girl tries to seduce men, possess them and leave them possessed and acting like idiots. She then suggests the gang to buy anti-evil spirits stickers, and sticks them wherever they don’t want evil spirits to be.

So, when night falls for the second time. Ash and Misty sticks the stickers all over the shrine as well as on Brock and James! Then, the old lady warns them ; the soul of the maiden is back! The stickers get blown away by the strong winds, and James cries, wondering why the stickers are not working, and Jessie tells him they got them…for free. As the maiden beckons Brock and James to her, Jessie shoots at her with a bazooka, but it has no effect on her. The spirit then gets angry and summons ghastly skulls, scaring the whole gang. Ash uses his PokeDex and tries pointing it towards the skulls, but in vain, as the PokeDex does not recognizes the skulls as being Pokemon, but when Ash points it at the maiden, the PokeDex alerts that she is actually a Gastly!

Pokemon Episode summary : The Ghost Of Maiden Peak Part 1

By TokoyamiTheDark

The episode begins during nighttime, showing a statue of a woman. Then, a ghost with a striking resemblance to the woman emerges, moaning that she’s waiting for someone. However, the calm voice becomes creepier, and the ghost woman becomes a Gastly! Ash, Misty and Brock arrives at their destination, where once every year they celebrate the end of summer in a festival. Brock is a little sad, because it is also the end of the swimsuit season, meaning he’ll have to wait until next year.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket are attached to the boat in a barrel, looking for trouble, as usual. When Ash and co. gets out of the boat, Brock sees a beautiful, purple haired girl. As he gazes upon her sad eyes, Brock get stomped flat by a crowd in a hurry. When he looks back, the girl is gone! Team Rocket is looking for cash on the loose, and finally finds a shiny penny, but Officier Jenny comes in and tells all money found is to be donated, even if it is a penny. James then sees the same girl than Brock, but Jessie smacks him for saying the girl was beautiful. He looks back, only to find that she’s gone.

Back to Ash, an old woman appears, warning Ash and co. of a very beautiful girl that will curses them. Misty brags that the old hag must be talking about her, but the granny says she’s talking about a beauty, not a rotten brat like Misty. Ash laughs, but Misty smacks him hard and drag him out. Team Rocket encounter the same old woman, same warnings. The scene skips to everyone sitting in front of a shrine, with an old man telling he’s going to reveal something that can be revealed only once every year. He takes the blanket, and the ‘thing’ was a painting ; a painting of the woman Brock and James saw before !!! As they approaches the painting, the old man tells them that the woman supposedly lived over 2 000 years ago, and her legend has been passed on from past to present ; long, long ago there was a fierce war in Kanto, and all men from the country were gone to fight. A woman had a Viking husband, which, however, was gone to the war.
