By TokoyamiTheDark

A chilly wind is blowing, and, in an unexpected moment, the ghost of the woman then appears in front of Brock, saying she was waiting for him! Brock then gets happy to see her again, and chooses to follow her. Meanwhile, Team Rocket are sleeping in their sleeping bags. The portable clock rings, and Meowth tells Jessie and James that it’s time to steal the painting, as it is midnight. However, the ghost of the maiden send a hypnotic wind, putting back Meowth and Jessie to sleep, but approaches James, and tells him that she waited so long for him, too.

When the sun rises, Brock is nowhere to be found. Ash then crosses paths with Jessie, who starts doing their dumb motto alone, since James is gone, too! Suddently, Brock and James appear, floating and babbling like morons. Pikachu thundershocks the two men, but in vain. They then think they maybe did ‘who knows what’ with the ghost of the Maiden, but the old hag tells the gang that they got possessed by the ghost of the girl. Each year, the spirit of the girl tries to seduce men, possess them and leave them possessed and acting like idiots. She then suggests the gang to buy anti-evil spirits stickers, and sticks them wherever they don’t want evil spirits to be.

So, when night falls for the second time. Ash and Misty sticks the stickers all over the shrine as well as on Brock and James! Then, the old lady warns them ; the soul of the maiden is back! The stickers get blown away by the strong winds, and James cries, wondering why the stickers are not working, and Jessie tells him they got them…for free. As the maiden beckons Brock and James to her, Jessie shoots at her with a bazooka, but it has no effect on her. The spirit then gets angry and summons ghastly skulls, scaring the whole gang. Ash uses his PokeDex and tries pointing it towards the skulls, but in vain, as the PokeDex does not recognizes the skulls as being Pokemon, but when Ash points it at the maiden, the PokeDex alerts that she is actually a Gastly!

Pokemon Episode summary : The Ghost Of Maiden Peak Part 1

By TokoyamiTheDark

The episode begins during nighttime, showing a statue of a woman. Then, a ghost with a striking resemblance to the woman emerges, moaning that she’s waiting for someone. However, the calm voice becomes creepier, and the ghost woman becomes a Gastly! Ash, Misty and Brock arrives at their destination, where once every year they celebrate the end of summer in a festival. Brock is a little sad, because it is also the end of the swimsuit season, meaning he’ll have to wait until next year.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket are attached to the boat in a barrel, looking for trouble, as usual. When Ash and co. gets out of the boat, Brock sees a beautiful, purple haired girl. As he gazes upon her sad eyes, Brock get stomped flat by a crowd in a hurry. When he looks back, the girl is gone! Team Rocket is looking for cash on the loose, and finally finds a shiny penny, but Officier Jenny comes in and tells all money found is to be donated, even if it is a penny. James then sees the same girl than Brock, but Jessie smacks him for saying the girl was beautiful. He looks back, only to find that she’s gone.

Back to Ash, an old woman appears, warning Ash and co. of a very beautiful girl that will curses them. Misty brags that the old hag must be talking about her, but the granny says she’s talking about a beauty, not a rotten brat like Misty. Ash laughs, but Misty smacks him hard and drag him out. Team Rocket encounter the same old woman, same warnings. The scene skips to everyone sitting in front of a shrine, with an old man telling he’s going to reveal something that can be revealed only once every year. He takes the blanket, and the ‘thing’ was a painting ; a painting of the woman Brock and James saw before !!! As they approaches the painting, the old man tells them that the woman supposedly lived over 2 000 years ago, and her legend has been passed on from past to present ; long, long ago there was a fierce war in Kanto, and all men from the country were gone to fight. A woman had a Viking husband, which, however, was gone to the war.

Ash, Misty and Brock finally arrives at Celadon City, for Ash’s fourth badge, the Rainbow badge. Then they enter a perfume shop, where Brock and Misty both tries different perfumes. Ash counters that what they are doing is a complete waste of time and money, which shocks the kimono girls in the shop. Then, the shop’s owner, a Geisha girl with make-up, kicks Ash out of the shop for what he said about the perfume. Misty and Brock follows him, as Ash decides to go to the Gym to get his fourth Badge, the Rainbow badge. As he enters the Gym, he is stamped with a big, red ‘X’ stamp by mad girls who witnessed what happened at the perfume shop, for as the perfume is made in the Gym itself!

Usually, only girls may enter, but on some conditions, boys can also enter. Brock and Misty are welcomed inside the Gym. Meanwhile, Team Rocket decides to enter the Gym to steal all of the perfume, but gets kicked out of the gym at the next moment. Ash, peeking at he gym’s windows, sees the Gym Leader, but is astonished as he recognizes her : she’s the Geisha girl that owns the perfume shop! Sitting with a Gloom telling stories to people including Brock and Misty, Ash then crosses paths with Team Rocket, who gets an excellent idea to help Ash sneaking into the Gym ; disguising him as a girl!

As for Jessie and James, they disguise themselves as typical adults and put their plans on work ; they will pretend to be the parents of Ash (nicknamed Ashley) wanting her to be registered in the Gym. So, they enter the Gym, and everything is OK. Misty, Brock, and Pikachu still recognizes Ash despite his disguise, and looks in a funny way at him.In front of Erika, Ash reveals his disguise and asks her for a Pokemon Battle. She gladly accepts, and, as a Grass-type Gym Leader, she mainly uses Pokemon like Tangela, Weepinbell and, of course, her Gloom.

With Erika being distracted by the match, Team Rocket manages to find all of the perfumes stored in a safe. However, perfumes are very sensitive to combustibles, and the whole gym soon gets blazed in an intense fire! Team Rocket has fled with the ‘secret’ perfume, while Brock’s and Misty’s Pokemon tries to extinguish the fire. Erika suddenly remembers that she forgot her Gloom inside the Gym! Ash runs inside, as hasty as always, and, after a while, finds Gloom. However, it releases an horrid stench, and, after many attempts at grabbing it, Gloom let itself being grabbed by Ash, who exit the Gym safe and sound ; Ash came out only with a few burn scars.

Pokemon Heroes Movie Synopsis Part 2

By TokoyamiTheDark

As soon as the thieves spots Latias in human guise, Annie send out her Espeon while Oakley sends out her Ariados. A String Shot and Psychic attack severely weakens Latias, when Ash pops up out of nowhere and orders his Pikachu to use Thunderbolt on the thieves. He then grabs the girl’s arm (unaware that the girl is Latias) and drags her away. Meanwhile, Espeon and Ariados chases Ash, but manages to lose his sight. The girl flees, then Ash decides to go to the museum where Brock and Misty are. On the floor, they notices two fossils ; a Kabutops and an Aerodactyl. The museum guide then appears and tells a scary legend about the fossils ; long ago, a cruel Trainer used his fossil Pokemon to kill humans and Pokemon alike, until a Latios brought a tidal wave to the city, drowning the fossils and turning the streets into canals, giving birth to Altomare, meaning ‘high tide’ in Italian.

There was also a huge machine in the middle of the museum, and the old man explains than this man-made machine was meant to protect the city in case of disasters. Ash then notices the girl from earlier, but with a beret. He accidentally touches the machine, which makes the old man somewhat nervous, and shouts to not to touch it. Ash apologizes, then gets out quickly. Later, he find the girl without the beret, and she happily beckons him to a wall in which she get past through. Ash tried to go, and ends in a beautiful garden full of Pokemon and water.

The girl is swinging on a swing, while wind chimes starts spinning at high speed. An invisible silhouette gets out of the water and violently tackles Pikachu. Pikachu, ready to attack, gets weary, but when the silhouette attempts to strike for a second time, the girl get in its way, revealing itself to be Latios! Ash is astonished ; Latios really exists. But, why is it mad at Ash and Pikachu? Then, another girl, very similar to the one who protected Ash, appears mad at him. Twins? Mistaking him for a thief, she asks him how he got in the secret garden, and Ash replies he followed the other girl. The beret girl orders Latios to attack, but is interrupted by the museum guide, telling her off because Ash wasn’t lying. The girl then tries to tell her grandfather something, but he tells her to be quiet, then asks Latias if she wanted to play with Ash. The beret-less girl takes Ash to the swing, then transforms into Latias! The old man, named Lorenzo, mentions that Latias might have a crush on Ash, while Latios appears behind Pikachu. Pikachu is still scared, but gets re-assured by a lick, then enjoys playing with Latias and Latios.

Ash’s New Friends

By Carl00456

I didn’t like the character Cilan from the Pokemon Black and White anime at first, but he seems to have grown on me. His small eyes and green hair made me jump to conclusions and think he was going to be another Pokemon trainer that I wouldn’t care about, but his personality shines through and he is actually a great character in the new anime.

We are first introduced to him at his Pokemon Gym. He battles Ash with his Pokemon, Pansage, which I must say could not be a better match with his personality or appearance. He decides to travel with Ash, hoping to improve his job of looking at Pokemon’s relationships with their trainers. He appears to be one step ahead of Ash and Iris and is always ready to do things. I feel that he may be replacing Brock though as he’s got the whole ‘good at cooking food’ going on, which looks delicious by the way.

I like how Cilan always says things like ‘what a unique flavour’ when talking about the style of Pokemon battles. He’s not like normal Pokemon trainers. He makes me want to learn more about his history as he is really interesting to watch. His personality is awesome in my opinion as he seems so clever and out-going and fun, unlike Brock who didn’t really get involved in most things Ash did. He is dressed like a Pokemon butler or chef which is unusual but somehow suits him. Cilan Is always eager to join in Pokemon battles and helps out when he can, whether it’s cooking some Pokemon food or giving some well-needed advice to his friends Ash and Iris. I would really like to see this character develop, get stronger and catch more Pokemon as I can’t see any bad points about him, I mean, he’s not annoying like Iris can sometimes be. I think that Cilan is the best person who has travelled with Ash. I can’t wait to see what happens to him in the anime.

Ash’s Traveling Companions

By Jo

The Pokemon anime has been centered around Ash Ketchum from the very beginning. In his quest to become a Pokemon Master, he and his beloved Pikachu have traveled to many different regions and befriended trainers of all sorts. Though some of those trainers have been affected by Ash more than others, even to the point of where they’d decided to go off on their own adventures with him. They’ve stood by his side, aiding him in times of distress and have added to the plot of the show. Without them, the anime probably wouldn’t be where it is today – on its 14th season.
