Pokemon Bulbasaur

The Kanto starters, some of the best out of all 5 sets, correct? Probably not, I have my personal preferences, but you have yours. What about professors? Professor Oak of the Kanto region is neutral. All the professors are in my opinion. I have no favorite professor. Pallet Town is where you get your starter in the Kanto region, in Oak’s Lab you can choose a water type Squirt, a fire type Charmander, or a grass and poison type Pokemon, Bulbasaur. Now Bulbasaur has blue skin, or at least some shade of blue, and a green bulb on his back. And I believe red eyes. Don’t get suspicious over the word “saur” in his name. Because he could resemble a dinosaur very easily, the four legs, the reptile build, just the look, but I don’t think he could pass for a full fledge dinosaur.

The first gym in the Kanto region is great for Bulbasaur because it is a Rock and Ground type gym, the leader is Brock. If you beat this gym you get the Boulder Badge, the very first badge out of the eight you need to enter the Kanto Pokemon League. If Bulbasaur has any grass type attack, like Razor Leaf, Vine Whip, or Absorb. Those are very simple well known attacks that some grass Pokemon like Bulbasaur can learn. If Bulbasaur has just one of those attacks, there is a fine chance for you to win the first gym. Grass type attacks have a decent advantage over the rock and ground type Pokemon.

When the time comes you have the water type Pokemon gym in Cerulean City, the leader is Misty. The badge for the second gym is the Cascade Badge. Bulbasaur can put up a fight against the water type Pokemon because grass type Pokemon have a good chance to beat most water type Pokemon. Bulbasaur can later evolve into Ivysaur, Ivysaur is slightly more powerful then the Bulbasaur, Ivysaur can pack a punch. After that in the levels in the thirties, Ivysaur can evolve into Venasaur. Venasaur has a lot of power, and the one that looks the most like a dinosaur. He can learn the move Frenzy Plant if you mmeet the right person to teach him. He is the final evolution of Bulbasaur. Will you choose Bulbasaur from Professor Oak if you start a journey in the Kanto region?
