Treecko is a grass type starter, known as the wood gecko Pokemon, and known as Kimori in Japan. It can learn strong moves like mega drain, quick attack and pound. It can evolve into Grovyle at level 16, and into Sceptile at level 36. In the Anime, Ash caught a Treecko during his adventures in the Hoenn region. It evolved later into Grovyle, and latter during his adventures in the battle Frontier, it evolved into Sceptile.
Torchic is a fire type starter, known as the chick Pokemon, and known as Achamo in Japan. It can learn strong moves like flamethrower, peck, and slash. It can evolve into a Combusken at level 16, and then into Blaziken at level 36. In the Anime, a trainer named May received Torchic as her starter Pokemon, and soon joined with Ash on his adventures in Hoenn. She used Torchic and her other Pokemon to win ribbons at contests.
Mudkip is a water type starter, known as the mud fish Pokemon, and known as Mizugorou in Japan. It can learn strong attacks like whirlpool, mud- slap, and hydro pump. It can evolve into Marshtomp at level 16, and then into Swampert at level 36. In the anime, Brock received a wild Mudkip from a guy who raises young Mudkip’s till their old enough to be given to trainers at the start of their journey. Mudkip would protect the young ones from danger, but soon befriended Brock, when he would help protect the little ones. Later on Mudkip evolved into Marshtomp, and is now at the Pewter city gym.
Poochyena is a dark type, known as the bite Pokemon, and known as Pochiena in Japan. It can learn strong moves like assurance, crunch, and take down. It can evolve into Mightyena at level 18.
Taillow is a normal and flying type, known as the tiny swallow Pokemon, and known as Subame in Japan. It can learn strong moves like wing attack, air slash, and aerial ace. It can evolve into Swellow at level 22. In the anime, Ash caught a Taillow during his adventures in Hoenn, and later on it evolved into Swellow.
