You can change the order of the pieces on the tree to make your own customized tree. The finished 8 piece tree stands about 11″ (28cm) tall.

Whats more, you can even combine the pieces with series #1 and make a 15 piece tree (you can only have 1 top piece) that would stand a towering 21″ (53cm) tall.

Munch “The Scream” Japanese Pokemon Promo Cards

Some of the most unique and coolest Pokemon cards ever just got released in Japan. The cards are based on Norwegian painter Edvard Munch’s famous painting “The Scream” which is currently touring in Japan at the Tokyo Art Museum. There was a total of 5 Pokemon cards (Pikachu not shown) that are Pokemon versions of the famous painting made into promo cards.  These cards will almost positively only be available in Japan and not any other countries.

The Mimikyu comes with a mini card binder. It was only available online from the Pokemon Center (limit 1 per person) and sold in VERY limited quantity at the Tokyo Art Museum. In order to buy merchandise at the museum, you must buy a ticket and brave the 1-2 hour wait to buy merchandise.

Eevee, Psyduck and Rowlet were given out at the Pokemon Centers in Japan (1 per person) if you bought 2 or more Pokemon booster packs. BUT, the problem is that none of the Pokemon Centers in Japan currently have any booster packs for sale because they are so popular, so these were very difficult to get. Lines formed at 5am at most stores and it was a lottery to buy booster packs.

The final card is Pikachu which will be available for one week only in early December. In order to receive the card,  you must attend the Munch art exhibit (admission ticket required), while supplies lasts.

There were several other Munch items including file folders, keychain charms, a plush “Scream” Pikachu, phone covers and more in very limited quantity and only sold at the museum’s gift shop (limit 5 items per person). Most items are already sold out.

You can currently find these rare treasures on Pokevault while supplies lasts. These cards are very popular and will not last long.

Surprise, Surprise Shiny Mimikyu Plush Toy Secretly Released

To my surprise on my weekly trip to the Pokemon Center in Fukuoka, Japan, I stumbled upon what looked like a dark colored Mimikyu plush toy. I thought maybe I was still half asleep, but as I got closer, it hit me, this was actually a shiny version of Mimikyu!!!

There was actually no warning of the Mimikyu release on any of the Pokemon Center websites or news sites until after the actual release. It was definitely a pleasant surprise.

My thoughts are that because Mimikyu is so popular, the release was kept a secret to help control the amount of people at the Pokemon Center at one time. It sometimes gets a little crazy!!! It was also released on a weekday and not a weekend so there would not be people fighting over them.

Mimikyu is identical to the original Pokemon Center Mimikyu, except for its grey color. Its very squeezably soft. The material is loose, just like if it were a real sheet covering Mimikyu. A great addition for any Pokemon collector. It is also made in the Philippines and not China which has been the trend for 2017.

On the same day I got another surprise, the Pokemon Center also released a new Lycanroc plush toy. This one is called “Dusk” form. Its very similar to the Midday form, but with a nice orange color instead. This was a great surprise.

I was able to buy the Takara Tomy version of the Dusk form Lycanroc a couple weeks before, but I am glad that the Pokemon Center also release one. What makes it even better is that the two versions are quite different.

On the Pokemon Center version, the legs are long and skinny but it does manage to stand up. Of course the stitching is excellent as usual with the Pokemon Center plush toys. There is alot of detail and its a definite must for any Pokemon Collector.

Of course you can still find both of these, as well as the original Mimikyu on Pokevault.com. But with the holidays fast approaching, they might not be around for too long.
