Plusle And Minun, The Electric Rodent Pokemon

By Anonymous

How many electric rodents are there? It has been a tradition ever since Pikachu to have an electric rodent. There is one every region. In the Kanto region you will see a Pikachu which is a furry electric mouse with red cheeks, yellow body, a lighting bolt like tail, pointy ears with black on the tips. Why am I describing what Pikachu looks like? Everyone, and I mean everyone should know what Pikachu looks like.

In the Kanto region you will also see Raichu. Raichu has a white belly and an orange body. The same tale as pikachu except it is thin and black and longer and ends with a lighting bolt. The two seem related don’t the they? Pikachu evolves into Raichu with a Thunderstone. In the Johto region you will see a Pichu. Pichu has a pale yellow body and pink cheeks. His ears a flat and black and it has a little black tail that looks like a small lightning bolt it is the pre-evolved form of Pikachu. To get it to evolve into a Pikachu it must have friendship with it’s trainer. A Soothe Bell usually helps out in making it trust you faster.

In the Hoenn region you will see Plusle, it looks like a Pichu but it’s body is a creamy color and it has red ears and tail, it has red cheeks with the plus sign in the middle which is tan, seems pretty cool? It was a rough description. There is another electric rodent, known as a Minun. Minun looks the same as Plusle with a tan body, a blue tail, and blue ears. It has blue cheeks with the minus symbol in the middle in tan. They are actually related, these two. They have the abilities Plus and Minus which will power up the two if they are together. I think this is because Plusle and Minun came in the third generation which is the same generation where double battles were created.

So Plusle and Minun have their power up abilities for us in a double battle. There is also a move called Helping Hand that also powers up the user’s other Pokemon. Plusle and Minun are both cute additions to electric type Pokemon, don’t you think they are?

Which Is The Most Appealing Electric Rodent?

By Brandon Yeo

The Electric Rodent species of Pokemon is one that is well known and is not a common sight in all five generations. It begins of course with the well known Pikachu, the first of the electric mice with brown stripes and a lightning shape tail that identifies it from its various counterparts. Coming with Pikachu is of course Raichu, an oversized rodent maybe, that might account for it slow speed as compared to Pikachu. In the second generation, we are also introduced to Pichu, the baby mice, clearly meant to make kids squeal when they see him, especially seen in the Pikachu Movie introducing the notorious “Pichu Brothers”. Next up is the third generation and my personal favourite – Minun and Plusle, the cheering mice that always seem to stick together and likewise appear together in the Pokemon series. This is clearly evident in Destiny Deoxys as well as in the other episodes of the Pokemon series. For the Fourth Generation, Pachirisu, seeming more like a squirrel than a mouse as compared to its other counterparts, however still similar, identified by its huge tail and its yellow cheeks. Lastly the most recent would be Emolga the flying squirrel pokemon, similar to that of Pachirisu.

After all that description, who indeed is the most appealing of them all? Clearly, Pikachu being Ash’s main Pokemon would be a natural candidate for it, however I may beg to differ. As Minun and Plusle and my favourite Pokemon, my biasness would naturally tend to make them the most appealing, however all of the electric rodents have their own aesthetic appeal. For Pikachu, this could include the perception of a small cuddly mouse and coupled with its high voice, it gives people more reason to love Pikachu. However in Pikachu’s line, my personal preference would be that of Pichu, especially with the presence of the mischievous Pichu brothers that make them all so lovely. Being babies too, this all the more makes them aesthetically appealing. For Raichu however, he personally doesn’t appeal much to me being over-sized and to me, “not too cuddly”, but similarly opinions are subjective and many people do love the Rai-Rai especially with his appearance as Lt. Surge’s Raichu.

Electric Rodent Pokemon

By Anonymous

In the Pokemon World you will see many types. These types range from anywhere. I could be grass to fire, ground to rock, ice to dragon, dark to ghost. Pokemon types cover most of the elements. Several Pokemon are electric type. Most of the time they are rodents. Well, at least in every region there has to be one rodent Pokemon. At least one electric rodent Pokemon.

The first one we should all know is Pikachu! Pikachu is yellow, of course and has red cheeks, he evolves into a Raichu, which is a lot like Pikachu except it has yellow cheecks and an orange boddy and white belly. It evolves from Pikachu if it is given a Thunderstone.

In the Johto region there isn’t an entirely new species of Pokemon to be the electric rodent, just a pre-evolution to another. This is the pre evolved form of Pikachu known as Pichu. Pichu has black ears that are flat and wider triangles then Pikachu’s smaller version. He has a yellow, pale color skin unlike Pikachu’s yellow color. Pichu has a pink color on his cheeks instead of red cheeks.

Hoenn Region Pokemon Part 2

By Amanda

Wurmple is a bug type, known as the worm Pokemon, and known as Kemusso in Japan.  It can only learn two moves through level up, being poison sting, and bug bite.  It has two evolution chains, depending on the time it evolves.  If it evolves during the day, it will evolve into Silcoon at level 7, and then into Beautifly at level 10.  If Wurmple evolves at night, it will evolve into Cascoon at level 7, and then into Dustox at level 10.  In the anime, May caught a Wurmple, as well as Jessie, who both wanted a Beautifly.  But later on, May’s Wurmple evolved into Silcoon while Jessie’s evolved into Cascoon, but Jessie would argue to everyone that Cascoon was Silcoon.  Soon both May’s Silcoon and Jessie’s Cascoon evolved around the same time, and Jessie finds out that she got a Dustox instead of a Beautifly, but was soon excited that she got a Dustox.
