Pokemon Sudowoodo And Evolution

By Anonymous

Alright, there are a ton of Pokemon. Different in their own way. It is really cool when you get to thinking about it. Now they all are their own species. But you might start to wonder that some of them have to be related in some way. They just look as if they can’t be passed up when compared to another Pokemon. Take a Pichu for instance, it evolves into a Pikachu. Not to mention that they have really close names, but also they look alike. Just about the same Pokemon though they are different species. An evolution may seem to be a different species but I like to think of them as a more mature and not to mention more powerful form of their pre-evolved forms. How do you evolve a Pokemon? Well there are many, many ways of doing so. You see, a Pokemon such as Charmander has three evolution stages, Charmeleon and Charizard. This particular Pokemon evolves by level up. Meaning it will evolve at a certain level, this is the most common type of evolution. And now, if you take a Pichu and want to evolve it into the famous Pikachu, level up will help, but won’t work. This Pokemon evolves by friendship. Level it up, have it hold a Soothe Bell, get it to respect you fully. Now you have a Pikachu, surprise, surprise Pikachu doesn’t evolve by level either. It evolves with an evolution stone known as the Thunderstone. You must give this stone to Pikachu whenever you feel it time to evolve it or you want to evolve your Pikachu. Another type of evolution is by trade, for instance, you may want to evolve your Machoke into a Machamp. Level sadly won’t work, you have to trade it with another person for it to evolve. A Pokemon like Onix will evolve if you give it the Metal Coat and trade it to someone.

In some rare cases you can find a Steelix in the wild at Iron Island in the Sinnoh region. Some Pokemon, like Eevee, the ruler of evolution, will evolve into Leafeon if you level it up by the Moss Rock. That is the majority for evolutions right there.

So far the current Pokemon that evolves by level and is the highest leveled Pokemon to evolve to date is Hydreigon. It is impossible to have a Hydregion below level sixty four unless it is through a Pokemon event. Evolutions bring strength but some people rather keep there Pokemon unevolved. Ash Ketchum from the anime never evolved Pikachu into a Raichu to this date. Do you like to keep your Pokemon unevolved? If so, which ones? Or do you prefer to keep your Pokemon evolved.

Sudowoodo

Have you heard of a rare Pokemon? What about a Pokemon that doesn’t even look like a Pokemon, more like a tree. You would think it is a grass type Pokemon, a ground type Pokemon, or maybe, just slightly a bug type Pokemon or a normal type Pokemon. This tree Pokemon is a master of mimicry. This Pokemon is a Sudowoodo. Sudowoodo is a rock type Pokemon, strange isn’t it? Everyone would think it to be a grass type Pokemon from the start. Sudowoodo can’t be encountered in the wild, but found in the wild. Only one of the, in the Johto region blocking the way to Ecruteak City.

Pikachu, Mouse Or Rabbit?

By TokoyamiTheDark

Everyone knows the most popular Pokemon, Pikachu. It is a mouse Pokemon, but somehow, something ticks my head off, and it’s about Pikachu’s name and species. See, a pika is actually a lagomorphs, not a mouse, which gives confusion about Pikachu being a mouse but named after a rabbit. An American pika also has short, round ears, unlike most bunnies, while Pikachu has long ears. So, the question here is; was Pikachu originally intended to be a rabbit? These questions will most likely remains unanswered, but let’s go on some information about a pika rabbit. They are quite small, and you could hold one in your hand. Like domestic rabbits, pikas can also eat hamster’s or guinea pig’s food. Mice, on their own, eat almost anything, and like cheese, of course. They sometimes gnaw electric cords like most rodents would do. They breed very quickly but their life span is very short. Does Pikachu have all of these features? Well, I don’t think so, as Pikachu seems more like a cross between a mouse and a pika. I don’t know why, but I’m sure this was intended, as many Pokemon are based on various animals. Pikachu also moves like a rabbit, not like a mouse. Watch closely and you’ll notice. The Anime is the best example to see a moving Pikachu. There are also various other things that Pikachu might have that doesn’t match a mouse’s way to live, but another animal’s way to live.

Pikachu is known ever since Pokemon has begun in Japan in 1995, and its popularity is still growing today. In fact, during the Pokemon craze in 1999, when someone heard the word ‘Pokemon’, they instantly thought of Pikachu. This was the case at elementary school, where Pokemon was the frenzy for all children in there. I even remember wearing a Raichu costume during Halloween, but I lost it in a fire long, long ago.

Plusle And Minun, The Electric Rodent Pokemon

By Anonymous

How many electric rodents are there? It has been a tradition ever since Pikachu to have an electric rodent. There is one every region. In the Kanto region you will see a Pikachu which is a furry electric mouse with red cheeks, yellow body, a lighting bolt like tail, pointy ears with black on the tips. Why am I describing what Pikachu looks like? Everyone, and I mean everyone should know what Pikachu looks like.

In the Kanto region you will also see Raichu. Raichu has a white belly and an orange body. The same tale as pikachu except it is thin and black and longer and ends with a lighting bolt. The two seem related don’t the they? Pikachu evolves into Raichu with a Thunderstone. In the Johto region you will see a Pichu. Pichu has a pale yellow body and pink cheeks. His ears a flat and black and it has a little black tail that looks like a small lightning bolt it is the pre-evolved form of Pikachu. To get it to evolve into a Pikachu it must have friendship with it’s trainer. A Soothe Bell usually helps out in making it trust you faster.

In the Hoenn region you will see Plusle, it looks like a Pichu but it’s body is a creamy color and it has red ears and tail, it has red cheeks with the plus sign in the middle which is tan, seems pretty cool? It was a rough description. There is another electric rodent, known as a Minun. Minun looks the same as Plusle with a tan body, a blue tail, and blue ears. It has blue cheeks with the minus symbol in the middle in tan. They are actually related, these two. They have the abilities Plus and Minus which will power up the two if they are together. I think this is because Plusle and Minun came in the third generation which is the same generation where double battles were created.

So Plusle and Minun have their power up abilities for us in a double battle. There is also a move called Helping Hand that also powers up the user’s other Pokemon. Plusle and Minun are both cute additions to electric type Pokemon, don’t you think they are?

Pichu, The Adorable Electric Mouse

By Anonymous

Have you heard of a mouse? Have you heard of an electric mouse? No, not the famous Pikachu. I’ll give you a hint, it’s a smaller Pikachu. Have you heard of it? Yes, it is a Pichu! Pichu is a cute baby Pokemon. The fur of a Pichu is much lighter than of a Pikachu. It is more of a pale yellow. They have the fuzzy black ears much like Pikachu but a Pichu has flatter ears, so the black covers more. They have pink cheeks instead of red. You can get them through breeding a Pikachu or a Raichu. In the anime you will see the Pichu Bros. in a few short films. The Pichu Bros. run around in a city and basically just have fun. It is enjoyable to watch their short movies once in awhile. One of the Pichu’s has tussled hair or something of the such.

That brings me to this next piece. A Pichu can have different ears. In the Pichu Bros. videos, yes. But in the twelfth Pokemon movie. The movie is called Arceus and the Jewel of Life. I’m sure you have hard of it. There is a Pichu in that movie. This Pichu has a difference in it’s ear just as in the Pichu Bros. This Pichu goes by many name, the spiky ear Pichu, the jigsaw ear Pichu, the notch-eared Pichu, no matter what you call it, it’s the Pichu in the twelfth movie and one of the stars. Pichu evolves into Pikachu through friendship, and Pikachu will evolve into a Raichu if you use a Thunderstone on it. Pichu is in the Johto Pokedex even though Pikachu and Raichu are in the Kanto Pokedex.

Pichu can have the color of a Pikachu, but only if it is shiny. This Pichu is known as the Pikachu colored Pichu or just as shiny Pichu, there was a Pokemon event given out a few years back where you could get a shiny Pichu referred to as a Pikachu colored Pichu. Pichu is a pretty cute Pokemon, don’t you think?

Which Is The Most Appealing Electric Rodent?

By Brandon Yeo

The Electric Rodent species of Pokemon is one that is well known and is not a common sight in all five generations. It begins of course with the well known Pikachu, the first of the electric mice with brown stripes and a lightning shape tail that identifies it from its various counterparts. Coming with Pikachu is of course Raichu, an oversized rodent maybe, that might account for it slow speed as compared to Pikachu. In the second generation, we are also introduced to Pichu, the baby mice, clearly meant to make kids squeal when they see him, especially seen in the Pikachu Movie introducing the notorious “Pichu Brothers”. Next up is the third generation and my personal favourite – Minun and Plusle, the cheering mice that always seem to stick together and likewise appear together in the Pokemon series. This is clearly evident in Destiny Deoxys as well as in the other episodes of the Pokemon series. For the Fourth Generation, Pachirisu, seeming more like a squirrel than a mouse as compared to its other counterparts, however still similar, identified by its huge tail and its yellow cheeks. Lastly the most recent would be Emolga the flying squirrel pokemon, similar to that of Pachirisu.

After all that description, who indeed is the most appealing of them all? Clearly, Pikachu being Ash’s main Pokemon would be a natural candidate for it, however I may beg to differ. As Minun and Plusle and my favourite Pokemon, my biasness would naturally tend to make them the most appealing, however all of the electric rodents have their own aesthetic appeal. For Pikachu, this could include the perception of a small cuddly mouse and coupled with its high voice, it gives people more reason to love Pikachu. However in Pikachu’s line, my personal preference would be that of Pichu, especially with the presence of the mischievous Pichu brothers that make them all so lovely. Being babies too, this all the more makes them aesthetically appealing. For Raichu however, he personally doesn’t appeal much to me being over-sized and to me, “not too cuddly”, but similarly opinions are subjective and many people do love the Rai-Rai especially with his appearance as Lt. Surge’s Raichu.

Electric Rodent Pokemon

By Anonymous

In the Pokemon World you will see many types. These types range from anywhere. I could be grass to fire, ground to rock, ice to dragon, dark to ghost. Pokemon types cover most of the elements. Several Pokemon are electric type. Most of the time they are rodents. Well, at least in every region there has to be one rodent Pokemon. At least one electric rodent Pokemon.

The first one we should all know is Pikachu! Pikachu is yellow, of course and has red cheeks, he evolves into a Raichu, which is a lot like Pikachu except it has yellow cheecks and an orange boddy and white belly. It evolves from Pikachu if it is given a Thunderstone.

In the Johto region there isn’t an entirely new species of Pokemon to be the electric rodent, just a pre-evolution to another. This is the pre evolved form of Pikachu known as Pichu. Pichu has black ears that are flat and wider triangles then Pikachu’s smaller version. He has a yellow, pale color skin unlike Pikachu’s yellow color. Pichu has a pink color on his cheeks instead of red cheeks.

A Teenager’s View On Raichu

By Matt

Even before I was a Quilava fan, the very first Pokemon I knew of was Raichu. That’s because when I was young, I remember going to an event hosted by my dad’s company. I was about 7 (or younger) and there were games you could play to get tickets. I saw a Raichu plush, and it stood out of the other prizes.

We had a whole day to do whatever we wanted, and so I was finally able to get the Raichu, thus making my love in Pokemon even stronger. Even though it’s only about 5 inches tall, it’s huggable and soft, and I bet in a few decades, it will become a collector’s item. Raichu, like Pikachu, is a Mouse Pokemon, and its ability is Static, which can cause paralysis (30% chance) to the opponent when Raichu gets hit by a physical attack.  If you’re lucky enough to find it in the Pokemon Dream World, its new ability will be Lightningrod, which is sort of like Follow Me, but only with Electric-type moves. It won’t take any damage; it will take these attacks and raise its Special Attack by one stage.

Pokemon: Arceus And The Jewel Of Life

By Anonymous

The movie “Arceus and the Jewel of Life” was directed by Kunihiko Yuyama. Arceus was depicted as being nature, the Jewel of Life as being the Sun, with the end goal of making people contemplate how the natural world is essential for the survival of all life. Ash and his friends arrive at the beautiful land of Michina. Little did they expect to once again be found in a conflict between Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. They are saved by Sheen a girl who can communicate with pokemon.

After a small after-conflict, Arceus fully awakens and returns to Earth. Arceus sees the Jewel is fake when Sheena tries to return it. Dialga, Palkia and Giratina return to try to stop Arceus, allowing Dialga to transport everyone to the past. They are nearly killed when Arceus attacks Damos and them, but Sheena contacts Dialga to send them further back in time. Ash, Brock, Dawn, and Sheena are several hours before Damos’ betrayal.

Johto Region Pokemon Part 3

By Amanda

Pichu is an electric type Pokemon, which is the pre evolved form of Pikachu.  It’s known as the tiny mouse Pokemon, and has the same name in Japan.  It can learn attacks like thundershock and sweet kiss, but it can only learn four moves through level up.  It appeared in several episodes in the anime as well as in short films before the movie begins.

One example is before Pokemon 3, a short film that stars the Pichu brothers befriending Ash’s Pikachu, and helping it return back to the other Pokemon before time runs out when Ash and friends return.  Noctowl is a flying type which is the evolved form of Hoothoot.  It’s known as the owl Pokemon, and is known as Yorunozuku in Japan.  It can learn several moves like confusion, air slash, and dream eater.  In the anime, Ash caught a rare shiny one during his adventure in the Johto region, being the first shiny Pokemon caught by a main character in the anime.

Second Generation Shiny Pokemon Review

By Emily

Despite the second generation having the fewest Pokemon of any era past and present, it seems to have a lot of shiny Pokemon associated with it. With Gold and Silver being the first games to actually feature these unique Pokemon, it makes some sense for so many Pokemon from this era being turned into shiny events.

Events aside, many of the Pokemon are stuck with a combination of pink, purple, and blue for their shiny colors. Some Pokemon were lucky enough to have a rather good shiny form.

Starting with events, the first shiny Pokemon from this era is Pichu with the 12th movie. The Pikachu-Colored Pichu wasn’t there just for looks; the notched-ear Pichu from the movie could be obtained only if this event Pokemon was brought to the Ilex Shrine. In addition to the in-game event, the shiny Pichu also had an exclusive attack, Endeavor, which made this Pokemon even more unusual. The gold color of this Pokemon is actually a very good choice since the red of its cheeks and black of its ears and tail have a much nicer contrast.
