Pokemon Center Oishii Mizu Merchandise Released In Japan

The Pokemon Center in Japan just released some new merchandise. This campaign is called “Oishii Mizu” which translates into “Delicious Water” in English.

There are many new items with a Water Type Pokemon theme. Several Pokemon characters are featured in this campaign including Popplio, Luvdisc, Piplup, Marill, Froakie, Mudkip, Totodile, Oshawott, Squirtle and Psyduck.

This is the 3rd collaboration campaign between the Pokemon Center and famous Japanese designer F*Kaori. The previous two campaigns were called “Saiko soda” and “Mix Au Lait” and featured other Pokemon characters in a similar stlye.

This time the merchandise includes plush mascots, cups, iPhone cases, bottle holder, towels, keychians, pass case, coin case, stickers, file folder, orange jam tarts in collector tin, gashapon vending machine figures and more.

These products are quite limited, but you can buy them on Pokevault while supplies lasts.

My Speculation of the Unova Starters

Lately, I’ve been hearing people talk about the Unova starter pokémon. I’m sure most of you pokémon fans like me will probably disagree with some of the things I say about these three. For example, I think Snivy is over-designed.

Let’s start with Snivy. Like I said before, I think the way that he is designed is a little much. I mean think back to Chikorita and Bulbasaur. They were nothing but green pokémon with very little but cool details like Bulbasaur’s seed and Chikorita’s leaf. With Snivy, it’s got a leaf tail, weird yellow collar things, a yellow swirls-like detail around both eyes, etc. Don’t get mad yet though. I still agree that Snivy is cool. Especially the way he’s so calm and cool. That’s what I love about his personality. Another thing I like is how even though he’s based off of a snake, he has feet, and they made it work. It had to be hard to make a snake design and have feet, but they made it work.

Conclusion: An over-designed, but cool snake.

Number two, Tepig. Prepare to hate me when I say that Tepig is my least favorite of the three. To start, I just don’t like how he’s a pig. I’m not saying he’s ugly but, I’m just not very fond of pig-like Pokémon, like Spoink. Although, Grumpig is still on my top 20 favorite pokemon list. Another detail I don’t like is how he looks like he’s wearing a black diaper. It make’s him look wierd and like a baby. There are some cool things that I like though. His ears. I have absolutely no explanation why. They just seem cool. I also think his tail is epic. Think about it, a curly tail with a shiny red bulb at the end, epic right?! Just like Snivy, I like Tepig’s personality. He’s fun-loving, and I have also noticed how his battle animation in the games has his tail wagging sometimes. So if you like this starter, then you can hate my comment about him.

Conclusion: A cool eared, epic tailed, diaper wearing pig.

That just leaves one more, and that’s Oshawott. To be honest, I picked this little guy as my starter in Pokémon Black. Most people say that Oshawott is ugly, but I think he’s cute. Yes, I am a guy who thinks Pokémon can be cute. Sea otters are awesome so I was excited to have a Pokémon based off of one. My favorite part of all, the shell on his stomach. I think it’s called a scalchop if I remember from the anime. I think it’s cool how he can take it off and deflect attacks with it. Another thing, this dude is also partly based off a ninja somehow (mostly in his second evolution). Oshawott kind of reminds me of a snowman, but it works with how cute he is. Personality wise, he’s a confident, brave, and curios one. That’s awesome in my point of view.

Conclusion: A cute, brave, ninja sea otter.I hope you fans post comment of how you see these starters.

P.S. Oshawott has helped me beat Pokémon Black in a little less than a week!

P.S.S. I will probably do evaluations on the evolution too!

Scraggy—Hatched To Be Wild. Summary And Review!

Hey guys! Today I’ll be summarizing and reviewing the 17th episode of Pokemon Black and White. The show begins with our heroes taking a break somewhere along the road to Castelia City. Ash’s egg starts to glow, indicating that it’s about to hatch. They gather around in anticipation around the glowing egg, but are startled when Axew accidently trips and pushes it down a hill. They chase after it and Pikachu ends up using Quick Attack to catch the egg before it collides into a boulder. Almost immediately, the egg hatches and reveals a Scraggy and Ash uses his Pokedex right away.

Scraggy seems happy to see Ash, but greets Pikachu with a Leer and a Headbutt. Ash decides to let his new spunky Pokemon have a battle. Pikachu goes easy on it, but it is obvious that Scraggy is outmatched. Afterwards, Ash sends out Pidove, Tepig, Oshawott, and Snivy to all meet and play with the newly-born. The sun starts setting and everyone gathers around to eat dinner. Meanwhile, Team Rocket receives instructions from Pierce and comment that they are now on “Stage 2” of their operations.

The scene turns back to our heroes and it is night time. Everyone is sleeping except for Axew who notices Scraggy is missing and alerts Iris. Ash and Cilan wake up and they all start looking around in the forest. Axew tracks down Scraggy’s footprints and they find it head-butting a tree. A disgruntled Galvantula pops out and unleashes a flurry of electric and bug type moves. Pikachu is able to scare the Galvantula away, but not before Scraggy suffers much damage. Iris and Axew look in the forest for herbs, and fix up a healing salve for the injured Pokemon.

The next scene involves Team Rocket delivering the meteorite to Dr. Zager who promptly runs some tests. The meteorite subsequently radiates violet leaving James, Jessie, and Pierce in awe. The following morning, Scraggy wakes up and is back to normal, but when everyone is ready to eat breakfast, it goes missing again. This time, Ash sends out all his other Pokemon to help in the search. They end up tracking him to the same tree, but this time it is surrounded by multiple Galvantula. Pidove, Tepig, Pikachu, Oshawott, and Snivy all engage in battle and rescue their friend. Afterwards, they finally eat, but Axew and Scraggy bump heads. Cilan says that the two would make perfect training partners, so Ash and Iris decide to battle. The two only know two moves apiece and so they mainly exchange Scratches and Headbutts. They battle ends up in a drawn when Dragon Rage hurts both Pokemon. Our heroes continue on their journey to the next city.

Rematch At The Nacrene Gym! Summary And Review

Hello guys! I will be giving a summary and review of the 16th Pokemon Black and White episode. The episode picks up right where the previous one ended, at the Battle Club. Don George begins his training lesson with Ash’s Tepig and tells him that the trainer must also train beside his Pokemon. Tepig and Ash start their training on a treadmill, trying to increase their stamina and speed. Don George turns up the intensity by having them dodge “shadow balls” at the same time. At first they struggle, but soon enough, they master the exercise and are noticeably stronger and tired. While Tepig rests, Oshawott is sent out to train.

Don George shows them a water-type training environment that looks like an enlarged swimming pool. There, Ash and his Oshawott are to swim against the current to build up their muscles and stamina. Meanwhile, Cilan and Iris feed a fully rested Tepig, but can’t seem to find Axew. Axew is mischievous and messes with the computer that controls the current strength. Ash and Oshawott are caught off-guard by the increase in current, but Osahwott adapts and performs Aqua Jet. Don George tells him to aim for the target, but the otter falls just short.

After they complete their training, Ash goes back to the Nacrene Gym to have a rematch with Lenora. Like last time, she shows her Pokemon, Watchog and Herdier (she evolved her Lillipup), before the match. The match begins with Tepig facing off against Herdier. Tepig opens with Ember and Herdier defends with Protect. It counters with Shadow Ball which Tepig dodges with relative ease thanks to his newfound speed. Herdier uses Roar and forces Oshawott to switch out. Lenora switches her Pokemon with Watchog to reenact the situation from their last match.

Watchog uses Mean Look right away. This time, Ash and Oshawott are ready for Lenora’s strategy. Right away Oshawott uses Razor Shell and catches Watchog off guard. Ash is excited to use Aqua Jet, but it is unsuccessful twice. He tries to use Water Gun, but misses as well. Lenora makes a quirky remark before issuing a Confuse Ray which connects. Oshawott takes a punishing Thunderbolt, but with his last remaining strength, makes a direct hit with Aqua Jet resulting in a double knockout.

The Battle Club And Tepig’s Choice Summary And Review

Hey guys! I’m going to summarize and review the 4th episode of Pokemon Black and White. Ash and Iris are continuing on their journey to Striaton City, but make a stop at Accumula Town. Ash is disappointed because there isn’t a Pokemon gym there, but quickly cheers up when Iris tells him of the Pokemon Battle Club. Upon entering the gym, a battle between Servine and Dewott is underway. Servine is knocked out and that is when the owner, Don George, welcomes our heroes. Ash is challenged by the Dewott’s trainer, but they are unable to finish their match due to a break-in.

Don George and the others take a look at the security tapes, to find that a mysterious black and thin Pokemon and Team Rocket were in the storage. Everyone thinks that the mysterious Pokemon is an Umbreon, and they are excited to find it. Team Rocket eavesdrops and paints up Meowth to look like Umbreon to distract the Battle Club members. Meanwhile, Ash and Iris make a trail of Pokemon food to lure the mysterious culprit. Ash spots a Tepig and discovers that it is the mysterious Pokemon. While Ash is in pursuit of Tepig, Pikachu and Oshawott get into a small scuffle.

Ash finally catches up to Tepig and explains the story to everyone else. Things are finally going back to normal when Team Rocket is spotted stealing Ash’s Pikachu. Although Tepig was abandoned by his former trainer, he is determined to prove himself and saves Pikachu from the clutches of Team Rocket. The episode ends with Tepig joining Ash.

Which Generation 5 Starter Did You Choose?

I think this would be an especially nostalgic topic for many of those who has bought the game and constantly pondering, who is the cutest? Who is the coolest? And who is the strongest? Well which of these matters and how did you choose your Gen V starter? I’m sure most of you would know the starters fairly well, but some quick introduction. First up is Snivy the grass snake Pokemon, seemingly sleek and elegant, his agility is especially evident in his high speed stats. Second is the water Otter, Oshawott, who seems to look sort comical, with a brown nose, blue ears and a seemingly blue (Jacket?). Most distinct is of course his removable scalchop on his stomach. Lastly, the fire pig Pokemon, Tepig. A typical pig, seeming like its other species counterparts with a curly tail but with a fiery taste attached.

Just so you know, my first unanimous pick was Oshawott. As the Best Wishes series started before the B&W game was released, I was already exposed to his comical appearance and charm that influenced me to choosing him as a starter. Being one of my main collections as well, it would be weird just not to pick him. Apart from my bias of course, his looks is one that is clearly unique, especially with his scalchop, something that most Pokemon can’t do apart from others like Dwebble with his removable shell. Well many while choosing their starters, might also consider their evolutions, I did too, but it wasn’t a very big deciding factor. Before I watched the Best Wishes series and before the game came out, I was debating whether to choose between Snivy or Oshawott as Snivy evolves into an awesome grass (snake dragon?), something that hasn’t been done in a long time apart from Charizard. Then comes Samurott, although the problem is I have no clear idea what he is or what animal or mythical creature he is based on since he doesn’t seem to look anywhere close to an Otter. But his two removable swords changed it all, with his trusty moustache, it made him look all the more deadly. I never really considered Tepig as firstly I usually chose the grass types, from Bulbasaur all the way to Turtwig and secondly, I don’t fancy oversized pigs very much. Lastly, he seems to pale in comparison to his water and grass counterparts.

My Pokemon Team

My Pokemon team includes many of the main Pokemon that you find near the start of the game as they are so popular. I chose my Pokemon not based on strength or ability but on looks and attitude. All of them are above level fifty but sometimes they can get knocked out by a level twenty-five, though this doesn’t concern me, it’s the memories and the bond between me and my Pokemon that matters.

Firstly, I have Piplup. I decided to choose him because penguins are my favourite animal and Piplup looks awesome and has a great personality. He’s so proud and always tries his hardest! I managed to level this guy up to level one-hundred, only using about two rare candies on him. I taught him all water type moves.

The first and strongest move is Hydro Pump. This move looks fantastic and it shows off Piplup’s power. Secondly, Surf, as this allows me to travel across water and, from what I’ve saw in the Pokemon anime, Surf looks amazing. Next we have bubble beam. This is my Piplup’s signature moves although it doesn’t do that much damage. A Piplup without bubble beam is like a Chimchar without flame-thrower. Taking away a Pokemon’s’ signature move is taking away its credibility of its type. Lastly, it knows drill peck. This move is excellent because it allows me to defeat super-effective grass type Pokemon in one hit. I enjoy dressing Piplup up in contests as a magician with a top-hat and a wand. He was my first Pokemon and is definitely my favourite.

All About Pokemon Oshawott, Dewott, And Samurott

The last of the three starter Pokemon of the fifth generation, Oshawott stands out as the oddest character of the three. Its body doesn’t flow like Snivy’s. It looks much more jumbled together compared to the Fire Pig Tepig. But Oshawott does have one major advantage, and that’s in its truly awesome stage 2 evolution, Samurott. Not only does Samurott look strong, its stat spread and fairly versatile move pool options allow this character to carve out a special niche in a team.

Like the other Unova starter Pokemon, Oshawott has a fairly decent stat spread, with Special Attack being by far its greatest asset. As it evolves into Samurott, Attack catches up and in the end both physical and special type moves are viable options for Samurott. Despite the great attack stats, Speed and Special Defense lack a bit of luster. Such a comparatively low Speed stat will require being able to hit hard and the unappealing Special Defense means that Samurott has to have a back-up plan in the event that the opponent uses a strong special attack against it.

Defense-wise, Encore can be used to get the opponent to use only one move for multiple turns, which may in the end prove to be very useful. This attack can possibly be used in junction with Revenge if the opponent’s last move did little damage to Samurott. A base power of 120 can be more than enough to make plenty of Pokemon faint. Other strong physical attacks such as the egg move Night Slash or HM move Waterfall can vie as possible alternatives for defeating more types of Pokemon, though the other TM options are too numerous to list.

Oshawott’s signature move Razor Shell has slightly lower accuracy than most other attacks, but with the added possibility of lowering the opponent’s Defense, considering this attack my be worth-while. With help from the Move Tutor, Samurott can also learn the very strong attack Megahorn. It sacrifices accuracy for power, but it can be used against a multitude of Pokemon and do quite a bit of damage.

Unexpected Favorites Of Unova: Part 1

One of my favorite things about the Pokemon games is that with every new region, you can only ever catch Pokemon local to that area until you’ve beaten the main story line. It lets you get acquainted to the new ones that have been introduced in that generation, and really shows just how useful the new pokes can be. And sometimes you end up finding yourself attached to pokemon you never imagined being fond of.

Swanna was one of those unpredictable favorites. When it was first previewed, I hated Swanna – thought it was an unoriginal Pokemon that everybody would eventually roll their eyes at and forget about in the long run. Before the games had been released in the U.S., I had planned on using something like the Pidove evolutionary line for flying, or even Braviary. Though it became apparent to me in the fourth gym that I wasn’t as attached to my Tranquill as I’d assumed I’d be.

For The Player And Collector: Pokemon Black And White

Hello again and I am back with another set to talk about. This time it is the newest expansion and addition to pokemon Black and White. This set’s cards are based on the new pokemon from the Unova Region, like the new starters, Oshawatt, Tepig, and Snivy. This set is a great expansion to both players and collectors of the pokemon world. For the players there are many new trainers and supporters added to the game and also there are new pokemon with awesome abilities. And for the collectors out there this set has two amazing full art pokemon cards to find. I will be talking about everything that a player and collector may like and not like about this set.

Let me start with the negative aspects of this set on both the sides of the competitive player and serious collector. For the player there are a few cards that render useless in the addition of pokemon cards. Unfezant is a good example as one of the few cards that seem useless to be put into a deck. It has an attack that needs three energy to use and only does 70 damage to the opposing pokemon with no added effect. For any pokemon card collectors out there, there is really nothing bad or negative that I have to say about this set. Except for the fact that there is one set of pokemon that does not come with the second stage evolution. With that lets move on to the positive side of this set.
