Moderate graphics, exciting game play, and new Pokemon… all things that describe the Pokemon Black & White game. Now if you are one of the many people like me that have already played Black & White you should be as astonished as me. The fact that I got the games in Japanese that is a personal high point, but when you get down to the game you see the exciting features.
First, you have to look at the best feature, new Pokemon. The new Pokemon have many words to describe them, cute, small, large, and most of them are very powerful. We are all familiar with the “Legendary Pokemon,” and this game does not lack them. Since I do not want to give anything to big away, I will just say that there is one legendary for each game. The Pokemon Centers in Japan have just released two new large size plushies. They are Minccino and Emolga, or Chillarmy and Emonga as they are commonly known in Japanese.
These are only sold in Japan at the Pokemon Centers and not at any toy stores. These two large plush toys are bigger than most large size plush toys, but smaller than the lifesize plushies. They both have incredibly soft fur that is like velvet. Very soft to the touch. They are very nicely detailed too. Both of their faces have nice stitching and are very adorable. The eyes are really nicely made and Minccino’s ears are also really cool. Very nice quality I think.
Note: this contains spoilers, which some people may not like.
Pokemon Black and White have definitely improved the difficulty of Pokemon battles, and going in unprepared is a very bad idea. Especially with your final battle against N and Ghetsis. The legendary dragon N controls and many of the Pokemon on Ghetsis’ team are incredibly strong and can easily destroy an entire team of Pokemon.
However, two ground type Pokemon stand out as being near-essential in helping you win. Excadrill for Black and Krookodile for White are possibly the best Pokemon you can use in the two final battles of the main story.
Excadrill is very useful in Pokemon Black because it has immunity to Zekrom’s strongest attack, Cross Thunder. Excadrill has a very high attack stat and can learn both Earthquake and Drill Run, which will be able to faint Zekrom in only one or two attacks. Because Excadrill can learn both X-scissor and Brick Break, it will also be useful against Ghetsis’ strongest Pokemon, Hydreigon. Continue reading “The Two Great Ground Pokemon of Generation Five”
The fire type is one of the many types of pokemon and is in my opinion, one of the best. They are an all around good type because they usually can learn very powerful moves such as fire blast and eruption but can also learn power-boosting moves such as sunny day. Fire moves are super effective against bug, grass, ice, and steel types, doing two times damage to a foe with one or more of those types combined. They only do half damage to rock, dragon, fire, and water. Although they are damaged twice as much by ground, rock, and water moves but most fire types can learn a move called solar beam, a grass type move, which is super effective against the types that are super effective to fire types.
Being a diehard shiny Pokemon fan and collector, I always like getting new shiny Pokemon from trades. However, I get very frustrated when, after checking a full box of shiny Pokemon, I find out that half of those Pokemon are hacked. Sometimes trading for the hacked Pokemon could have been avoided had I been more vigilant and looked at the most obvious signs of a hacked Pokemon. Many telltale signs exist that should be red flags, even for a novice collector.
The date and place met. Shiny Suicunes should never come from Hoenn, shiny Lugias should never be met on Route 202, and a Charizard should never, ever be captured in a Master Ball. This is very basic, but sometimes it’s useful for finding poorly hacked Pokemon. Dates that Pokemon were captured should also be looked at, especially if you get multiple Pokemon from the same person. Usually someone trading a lot of shiny Pokemon that were caught within a day or two of each other is a pretty suspicious sign. Continue reading “Tricks For Finding Hacked Pokemon”
Sewaddle, also known as Kurumiru in Japan, is a bug and grass type, and is known as the sewing Pokemon. It has strong attacks like bug bite, razor leaf, and bug buzz, but it can only learn six moves through level up. It can evolve into Kurumayu at level 20, and then evolve into Hahakomori when its trust is at its max. It’s also one of Ash’s Pokemon in the Unova region that he caught. Zuruggu is a dark and fighting type, and is also known as the shed skin Pokemon. It has strong moves such as brick break, little by little, hi jump kick, and head smash. It can evolve into Zuruzukin at level 39. Zuruggu is also one of Ash’s Pokemon he got while in the Unova region, which was given to him as an egg, to say thanks. Its happened to alot of us! You buy a Pokemon plushie and there is something just not right about it. You bought it on Ebay, so you think you are safe from counterfeit or bootleg plush toys. BUT, you were wrong! In fact, I see more bootleg Pokemon plush and figures than real ones on Ebay. It kills me to even look at Ebay. Right now I can see over 20 bootleg Umbreon plush toys on ebay as I write this. It has become so common to see bootleg plushies on Ebay, that most people don’t even notice or they can’t tell which ones are real and which ones aren’t. I will give you some helpful tips so that you don’t buy a fake plush and regret it later.
It is not easy to tell which Pokemon plush toys are real and which ones are bootlegs. The manufacturers have gotten very good at reproducing them to look almost perfect. For parents, this can be especially hard because most parents don’t know what an Umbreon or an Eevee is. This link is from the Pokemon community regarding bootleg Pokemon plush. Its very helpful
Pokemon collectors collect many different things. Figures, cards, promo cards, plush toys, pokedolls, charms, keychains, and much more. I collect Pokemon canvas plush toys. Canvas plush are different from normal Pokemon plushies, tomy plush toys, pokedolls, and other stuffed toys. The Pokemon canvas plushies are smaller than most of the other Pokemon stuffed toys that you will find. Since they are smaller, they seem to have more detail. Take the Eevee evolution canvas plushies for example. They are some of the nicest ones I have ever seen. They cost a fortune at the moment because of their popularity and the fact that they sold out back in 2009. But these are worth every penny. They are so small and cute. The eyes are the best part. Each character has very nicely stitched eyes. In addition, they are put together really nicely. Not like some of the cheaper made plush toys that you will see. The seams are nicely put together. There is no loose thread or bad sewing. True, they are quite small when compared to other plushies, but then again, the best things don’t always come in large packages. Snivy, also known as Tsutarja in Japan, is one of the best grass starter Pokemon yet. Not only does it know strong grass moves like leaf blade, leaf storm, but also some new attacks like grass mixer, and grass oath. In its final evolution, it looks like a snake, loosing its limbs in each stage. In the anima, Ash owns a female snivy, shown to be very powerful. Oshawott, also known as Mijumaru in Japan is a Water type Pokemon available in Black and White. It’s known as a sea otter that has a shell it can detach from its belly to use to attack or defend itself. It has powerful attacks such as shell blade and aqua tail, and can learn the move water oath. It also appears in the anima, being one of the Pokemon Ash caught in the Unova region. Tepig, also known as Pokabu in Japan is a fire type. Known as the pig Pokemon, it has strong fire types attacks like nitro charge and heat stamp.
